Hello everybody, I have created this thread to discuss potential way we can help assist respawn in their constant fight against cheaters in this game. I want to start friendly and civil discussion on ways we can do this without impacting the game too much (for example making it pay to play).
The real issue lies in the process of banning/suspending players.
Respawn has no problem using automated banning tools when it comes to in-game chat, where the current policy is ban/suspend everyone for anything, even when players aren't typing anything offensive, because the list of bannable words is crazy long, and you can get banned for even typing "I am gay" or heaven forbid you type in another language. Banned!
There is no reason the devs can't use scripts, in a similar manner, to catch things like infinite Charge Rifle, or someone unloading an entire clip and hitting headshots with every bullet.
Catching cheaters is not difficult. Preventing DDOS attacks, is not difficult. The vast majority of games accomplished this from Day 1 launch, but it requires resources, time, and money.
EA doesn't care. Why spend even a decimal point of the Billion dollars revenue, when you can make a BILLION DOLLARS by not caring? Hence the issue....
@hayhor, i think a year might be a bit too long, but this idea is definatley along the right track , I espicially love the idea of handing rewards out to players if they've kept a clean streak for a certain amount of time.
