Whole Energy Weapon Category is Useless
There are two energy weapons in this game. Devotion and Triple Take. And honestly, there are no reasons to pick these up unless you're bare hands.
The devotion has a massive disadvantage with miserable ammo efficiency. Energy ammo is scarce(hopefully this will be mitigated by introducing new energy weapons) and poor backpack usage(only 60 stacks in inventory)
Even with the turbocharger, this weapon is half decent. You could argue this weapon has the shortest TTK in the game with the maximum rate. But the whole 'charging up' and 'negative recoil' is a fiasco. Charging up means you don't have the ability to alpha strike. Plus if the enemy has the initiative(like higher ground), the devotion is worthless.
If you are having the positional advantage, other weapons will do just fine.
All in all the devotion will make you little stronger on an advantageous situation and makes you far weaker on the bad situation.
Triple take is already famous for the most terrible sniper rifle. No extended magazine, and horrid charging speed.
And by the love of god, why there are no extended magazines for whole energy weapons?
This seriously hampers the potential of the weapons. They just can't keep up with other weapon categories to the late game.
Although I admit they are pretty strong on early game. but this is really an intended feature?
