Why so sweaty... Rrrggghhh!

What gives man! Why has this game gotten so sweaty over the past few weeks? Oh wait this event and is candy promises. Ranked play is just crap been stuck in Rookie this whole time, ugh!

I agree completely. I never play ranked, but I've been driven into it because it's got the only map left in the game where you can see what's happening.

I don't know if provisional matches are supposed to be "no sbmm" but they sorta felt that way. Enemies everywhere. No dead spots on the map at all. Everyone shooting at all times, some of them actually shooting accurately. Way more accurately than I'm used to in pubs. But I thought, "no big deal, I'll land in Rookie IV and everything will get back to normal." Couldn't have been more wrong.

All of which just goes to reinforcing what I've always known, in this game and many others: ranked matchmaking is garbage. If you don't have a premade where all three of you are willing and able to pour yourselves into a diamond/master/predator meat grinder then just don't even queue up to begin with.

I'm not saying it shouldn't be but I like to get setup first. A lot of my issue is on the choice of landing spots by teammates or the lack of grouping together. Always one that just flies off.

Not staying together is the opposite of sweaty. Yes you are correct the landing spots people choose and lack of grouping together are a problem for many people. Best thing I can say is try your best to communicate with your team and if they don't want to work together there is always next game. If I am playing ranked and my teammates run off solo and die I try to play a support class to be able to craft the banners. Last thing is try and find at least 1 other person to have a as a teammate. People are more likely to stay with you if they see you and your teammate staying together. Not always but it helps.

game developers mod the game, weapons, etc. i.e. so much so that it's not fun to play

@Sulphurix_LXXIIWell that makes the gameplay just garbage but not “sweaty“. That gameplay won’t change since people are allowed to do that nonsense.

I remember once here was a guy asking about his report of someone that split off and went afk in a tree, legit half the people that responded where defending the camper that this is how the game is played and that he isn’t griefing his team.. wich is ofc nonsense that’s 100% griefing and should result in permaban but ea does not have the intention to make the game the most enjoyable they care about numbers only 😉

just to show that not only the game is fundamentally broken but also the community is.

In my experience, the last couple weeks of any season are miserable, because almost all of the casual players have finished up whatever they were grinding for and have stopped playing.  This season in particular, a lot of players seem to be sweating really hard in pubs to get the 20 wins for the event badge.  I almost never play in the last couple weeks of a season, unless I've barely played and am still powering through the battle pass.

  • its sweaty bcs they dont want to put you in functional teams your skill level ...
they will take a good player and pair him up with dead weight into lobbies where the average skill exceeds the Skill of the teammates for the sake of fast queue times.

    Basic MM Math Example:
(Skill 1+ Skill 1+ Skill 10) divided by 3 equals average skill 4 ... but 4 is way to high for a Skill "1" player and most of the time the Skill "10" cant make up for his Skill "1" mates bcs they died before he even can grab a weapon and gets tripled in the process.
the Skill "1"  teammates will start to complain the game was too sweaty, bcs the lobby skill is way above their skill ...
So the skilled player is angry and the 2 beginner players also, ending up in toxic conversations.
Lets face it , the a huge deal of the toxicity is homemade and a result of the Matchmaking.

So please stop throwing people into teams they cant keep up the pace, i know the math makes sense on paper  but not in real life !

I'm gonna walk back my previous post just a little bit.  I've been playing BR consistently the last three days with my buddy, and our matchmaking has been pretty reasonable overall.  Two wins today.
