@EA_David You guys can go screw yourselves as a benefit. I won't be giving EA any more money. I'll just outright pirate EA's games from now on as a FU to EA since you guys gave a big FU with a slap in the face to go with it. How can you remove one of the biggest value-adds to your premium subscription without lowering it's price and communicating to your customers about the changes???
How have you guys become so blinded by greed? Heck, there isn't even early access to the Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remaster which is the second biggest benefit to the pro subscription. And by the way, that remaster should be more than enough proof that EA is just another lazy and greedy corporation. That game is not even that old, it's dull, it's bland and it's a pathetic excuse for a Need For Speed game.
So instead of getting a whole battlepass with legendary skins, skydive emotes and all kinds of cool stuff we now get a charm???. a single charm inseat of a whole battlepass. i wanna see the charm that eqals to 27 euros worth of Apex Coins.
The one time $10 fee earns you enough to buy the subsequent passes. In the real world example of buying a battle pass, you would never pay more than $10, ever.
Unless something forces you to spend all the coins you earn.
Yes when someone gives you the battle pass for free and you spend all your coins it is a $60 value.
My point is if you say I am only getting EA Pro for the battle pass well then you are still paying $100 + taxes for something that you could have had for $10 or spent like crazy and had for $60.
Still makes no sense.
From another yearly subscriber.
- @Irres169 It has to do with utilization of benefits. If you over/under utilize that is what makes the difference. Even if you play one $50 in that year you're near over utilization. Especially with the dlc. It's still an ok value, but this execution and decrease in value is what matters.
Cancelled my EA Play subscription as a result of this change. I’m going to keep playing the game, I’m just not going to pay for it anymore. Weird choice by EA here ...
Corporate Commander strikes again......sigh
I never finish the BP, usually lvl 50 or 60 then I spend the coins on skins, packs, or legends. You assume that all you do is grind BP every season. The VALUE is getting the free BP so I am not grinding every season to get the next for free. I can use my coins how I see fit.
I get your point, but you are missing everyone elses. You think the BP is the end all be all in peoples minds and thats it. The point is VALUE. I have planned on the BP every season, 6 to this point, I never unlock the full PB and and use the coins for other things. I don't play enough to unlock all the legends so I use coins for that. I found value in playing BF V, but not enough to buy it. Same with Madden, Fifa, Squadrons, Dragon Age, Sims for my daughter, and other games for my son. It had VALUE, but none of these games I would buy. I play Apex as a casual game and BP was the bigger draw to me. You don't have to like it, understand it, or agree to it. In sales it's called VALUE ADDED BENEFIT, everyone has there tipping point, BP is mine. It no longer holds the same value.

Sigh... been doing the Pro thing, since before it became EA Pro. But just on principle, I'm considering cancelling - even if I'll loose progress on games that aren't included in Basic. Making customers unhappy, because of $10... when you earn 6-10 times more on the rest we pay?
I've been in Warzone for a while, and at least there - you have the option to grind for a few seasons to get the BP for free. And here, you give us a trinket - while we're paying for a full game game pass regularly. When Activision/Blizzard starts to seem like reasonable, it's getting kinda weird. - GorramFrank5 years agoRising Traveler
I'll just spread the word about this community thread in various gaming communities on Facebook gaming, so Apex players whom happen to be Pro subscribers, both can know - and hopefully drop by to share their opinion about this change in terms and service.
Maybe EA will change their minds if a few hundred, maybe some thousand drop by? Or if there's a sudden drop in Pro Subs? Dunno. Hopefully. Yeah, that's a good idea.
I'm very unhappy that I dont get my BP and I cancelled Pro.
