My friend was telling me that I have to end at least one split in diamond to get the diamond badge/trail/holospray. I had made diamond three times during season 16 split one, but ended up this season 16 split one in platinum.Do I have to make diamond during split two and maintain it to get the trail and badge?

Thank you. He is standing firm because a “dev” told him this. I was 100% sure you could keep playing, get demoted, and still get the rewards since it’s literally “the highest tier you achieve”, not “ended the split at”.
After all, who wants to quit once you reach Diamond? The fun of ranked is get as high as possible, and a lot of players make a tier and stop playing because of misinformation like this.

@ImCalabreezy The reason you give is why they don't force you to be in at the end of split. They want you to keep playing.

Your friend unfortunately is proving a bit untrustworthy or someone he knows is.

Thank you, @EA_David. I had previously read this (which is were I got my correct information), but I believe his argument was the “wording” and or “fine print details”. Its nice to have some clarification, especially after someone stands their ground that hard on a claim. Have a great one!

Then how come I didn’t receive my correct rewards from last season? I hit master both splits but didn’t get the animated badge. It’s been nearly 3 months, how is this not fixed? My tag is V9 SneakFPS. Console is xbox
