- DarthValtrex5 years agoHero (Retired)@MassiveVernon Yeah unless you play a ton you kind of get left in the dust. I can sort of keep up, but looting death boxes is slow.
- @DarthValtrex Yeah pretty much. I’m fast at looting in general it’s just a pain having to stand still when shield swapping , and I don’t really like the whole cursor movement with the stick as I misclick a lot when in a rush

Controller experts: My PS4 controller won't work on my PC. Can you play Apex with a Soul Calibur VI XBOX arcade pad?
I suspect that you can. Wigg was streaming with a gamecube controller a couple seeks ago lol.
@CCbathwater Personally I notice the slowing effect at times and the drag is there if a player runs straight across my crosshairs but as you said, it's slow and lags behind them. That drag effect is like fighting with another entity for control of your character in cqc multiple player fights...I hate it, and it often gets me killed lol.
With regards to what you said about that player claiming they don't need to use any right stick input...that sounds pretty suspicious to me lol.
@B0n3SawMcSizzla wait a moment, you can play Soul Calibur VI with an Arcade pad? I need to absolutely try that. Thanks 😛
@MandatoryIDtagYeah it’s not good cqc sometimes, especially if there’s a downed enemy crawling about close to you . But that’s pretty much it , it slows a bit when you aim over someone and slightly drags the camera - doesn’t pull your crosshairs directly on to them and lock it . If you had the same aim assist on k&m it’d be like your dpi changing randomly whilst playing and it’d be horrible.
Only advantage controller has is up close fights and yes I am aware many fights in apex are up close. However movement on MKB is 10000X better, looting is better, mid range and long range is better, you have macros and unlimited keybinding options. I hit masters on PC with both inputs I am not bias, I call it how it is. Each has advantages but it’s a fact MKB has more advantages. If you gave a controller to someone who has never picked one up before in their entire life they would be awful. Period. MKB is harder to learn but has a higher ceiling
i can imagine how bad it is without even owning a console or controller or internet or computer or hands or fingers or a brain
- @MassiveVernon Well, PC has 0.4 AA and console has 0.6 AA. When console players get in PC lobbies, the value doesn't change.
How are you even comparing DPI change and AA? Lol. AA slows your reticle over a target and sticks slightly, while dpi change won't do that. @pandareno1999 I'll have to look that Wiggs guy up and see if there's a Youtube video. I wonder how he hooked up the GameCube controller?
@AcidicSoda44031 I was just over at a friends and I beat him a few times on his own X box at Mortal Combat - a game I haven't played in a long time. Most fighting games are made for the arcade and aren't using controller thumbsticks as analog inputs. I'm actually not sure about more modern games and controllers, but they use arcade type controllers in tournaments.
It would work if you can hold to rotate. The right stick sounds like it might not be that important and can be mapped to buttons.
