About steam
Because my Steam account was stolen by unauthorized individuals😢, and since my EA account is extremely important to me, I immediately disconnected it from Steam when the theft occurred. Now, I want to link a new Steam account to my EA account. I contacted customer support, and they told me they would discuss my case internally. However, due to my oversight, I forgot to ask how I would be notified if they sent me an email. I'm feeling deeply upset right now; this waiting period is making me feel terrible. I want to know if there's any way to check the status of my case, or if there’s a method that might allow me to reconnect a new Steam account. This is really important to me.😭

If a few days have passed with no response to your case, grab the case number and try contacting the support team through live support (Chat). They can use those details to pull up your account and previous case details and look into things from there.
However, I'm not sure the support team can help with this. Here's what our EA Help guide shares regarding Steam links and EA accounts:
You can only link one Steam account to an EA Account, so make sure you choose the right EA Account to link to.
This means that an EA account can only have one Steam account linked to it in its lifetime. Unlinking one Steam account doesn't free up the EA account to receive a new Steam account connection.
In terms of next steps:
- If the goal is to start fresh, you'll need to open a new EA account to link the new Steam account.
- If the goal is to continue playing your EA games from Steam, you'll need to recover your Steam account, reset the security steps, and then relink it to the EA account. Unlinking it comes with some risks, but there's a chance relinking it may restore some of the progress and purchases.
