Account Cross Progression question
Hello,
I have two accounts for apex (1 xbox and 1 steam) the steam and xbox accounts are both linked to a different ea accounts. I don't really care what happens to the Steam data but would like to keep my xbox data. If I unlinked my steam from the EA account it was attached to and linked it to my EA account attached to my xbox would that allow me to use my xbox data when opening up apex in steam?

You have it correct, yes!
Progress is stored on the EA account level, not on individual platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc. This means if you link your platform to a different EA account, you'll lose access to that progress.
If you moved your Steam to the same account that has your Xbox already linked, you would lose access to whatever progress you'd gained while on Steam, but would then be able to access the Xbox progress on both.
