Account merge on apex

One of my friends is currently having an issue, they play apex on ps4 before switching over to Xbox but they used a separate EA account than the one they used for Xbox. I've read online that some people have been able to get EA to merge there EA accounts together, but I'm questioning what would happen if my friend were to do that. I'm wondering if they would lose all the cosmetics they bought on the PlayStation account if they merged the EA accounts together. Any help on this matter is much appreciated, they have access to both EA accounts and there emails they'd be able to prove both accounts are there's. They just want the cosmetics from both accounts on one account because of the apex cross progression update. its several hundred dollars worth of cosmetics any help would be much appreciated thank you.

    Unfortunately, merging 2 different EA Accounts is not possible to have any platform accounts merge for cross progression. Only platform accounts that are linked onto the same EA Profile is eligible for cross progression.

    So I downloaded apex on ps4 in the first week since it came out , I recently got a pc and I connected my steam to that same ea account as my ps4 ,but I downloaded it on 30th of october for the first time and played in the same day for the first time (also connected my steam to ea on the same day) but on the ea site it says that all of the accounts that were made after 26th of october wouldnt be able to be merged . So I was wondering if my account will even get cross progression because I am in the same clan as i was on the ps4 and I am also the leader because I was the leader on ps4 but i didnt get cross progression yet and all of my friends did ☹️

    Also , I didnt even get the cross progression notification at the start menu if that helps somehow .

    If you made a secondary Apex Legends account after the 26th of October, then your account wouldn't be eligible for cross progression. Even if they are linked under the same main EA Account.

    And yes, if you didn't receive the prompt in the main menu then cross progression hasn't got to you yet. Eventually, it will get to you to allow you to merge your accounts.
