Always Error reading pak file "C:\User" -- Error: Short read.

Hallo Support,

I need fast help. Since today (06.12.2019) my game crashes all the time after connection to the game with the "Error reading pak file "C:\User\...\dl_mini_19_10_30.rpak" -- Error: Short read."
My Battelpass is ongoing but I cant make my missions like that.

I tried:

I updated my drives.

Repaired the game.

Deleted the file.

windows updates.

Disabled all overlays.

Tried a new network connection "hotspot"

I dont know what I can try next ..

  • The solution for me was:

    Delete the game. Change origin language and game language to my country.

    Rename the file "dl_mini_19_10_30.rpak" to "dl_mini_19_10_30old.rpak" and repair the game then.

    The EA Support was very uncooperative and a waste of time.

    Everytime I was keeped on hold.

    I had to chat with four different persons who had no clue what was going on or never read the ticket or looked over the attachments.

    I always asked to get please the last clerk I was communicating with but the said always this is not posible.

    Two 2h chats one 3h call and another 2h call.

    I was always told the experts are going look over in a few min but it never happend.

    Also my questions never were answered and at the end she killed the line, even though I asked her to stay in the line.

    I am very unhappy with the stability of this game, a lot of people I play with dealing with problems of crashes.

    It is a good game but after such experiances I am skeptical if I am gonna continue to play it.

  • I am getting that error you had 2 years ago ever since the update I am unable to play, couldn't finish my previous battle pass cause my game kept kicking me out lost many rank matches due to that and since this new season I've manage to play 1 full game. Being from south Africa where ping is no less than 167 for me I love apex and noted my minimal built pc is not best, but not being able to even enter a practice match is super frustrating

    I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game, restarting my laptop, made sure everything is up to date, validated the content on steam, a clean boot and ended up with the same error. I've scanned my PC in several ways and they all tell me that there was nothing wrong with it and that there were no found integrity violations. I honestly feel like it has something to do with the latest patch because everything was working fine until updating the game. All my other games on steam work perfectly fine.

  • i had similar problem i tried reanstaling the game but didn't work that then pop up new error ''corrupt disk'' i search solution on Youtube and found way to fix corrupt disk.

    Solution 3 worked for me. 

    last day lights went off and pc turned off quickly so that was cause of corrupt disk. 
    Sorry for my bad english i hope it will help who has same problem now.
