Apex crashing when left click to continue

When I launch apex from steam, its does fine. When I left click to continue, my pc freezes, and the game crashes. I have deleted and verified the integrity of the easy anti cheat file, and verifies the integrity before deleting it. I have also renamed the respawn and apex files and the n deleted them after the game creates a new one. I have deleted the directx shader cache in disk cleanup. I have tried to force the game to launch in directx 11 using multiple prompts in the launch options box in properties. Before doing all of this, I also deleted and reinstalled the game. Nothing I've done has worked.

Apex gives me the same error code "0x887A0006". I don't think its an issue with my gpu because all my other games on steam work perfectly fine.

I attached a screenshot of the window that comes up when the game crashes.

Has anyone had the same issue and fixed it, and knows how they did so.

  • I was on version 32.0.1... .1004 I can't remember the whole thing. I updated it after checking putting me on 32.0.22042.14002. Then I tried loading into the lobby and it started loading shader, and now I'm in. I can't believe I didn't try that first. I'm going to close apex and try again to see if it will load consistently.

I'll come back here if something else goes wrong.

Im using a 9070xt, but its on driver version 32.0.22042.14002

Thegoldenchild1l Sounds like the AMD driver version for the Pro edition of Adrenaline, (where the application is blue), I use the normal version, (where the application is red).

Eitherway, I'm happy to hear that updating your GPU's driver had fixed the issue for you!

I successfully loaded in two more times. Thank you Midnight

If it happens again, feel free to reply to this thread, (or the one linked above), so it can be forwarded in a bug report.
