Apex Cross Progression and EA ID
Okay, so basically, i'm coming here as a last resort after going back and forth in emails with customer support for days where it was always "My name is ___, I hope i can help you today" and EVERY single time it was a NEW name and not a single one of them actually listened to anything i typed! So, there's that.
To the bread and butter of this thing, Cross progression came out for Apex -- somewhat recently, i'm pretty sure? Everything is linked just fine. The only problem is that I play on xbox. When i saw cross progression was out, i was like cool! Let me change my EA ID to be christmas+apex themed !! then, i log onto the game and boom- it still reads my gamertag. I try to give it time- nope! Still my gamertag.
There was another thread with the same issue not that long ago, the only solution suggested under that was to log into apex on a computer and it would update! Problem: I don't have a computer that I can even install apex on. All i've got is this * laptop and i've even tried deleting the very few games i DO have installed(Like 3 max, two of them being very small) to try n install apex, and i still didn't have enough space.
So basically my question is, what do i do next? Is there any other solutions to making Apex display my EA ID ingame instead of my xbox gamertag?

While you have access to your content across platforms with Cross Progression, your username is still dependent on the platform you're using.
If you're playing on Xbox that will still use your gamertag, so that's what would need to be updated if you're trying to change it in-game.
If you were playing Apex on PC, it would use your EA ID (if playing through the EA app) or Steam username (if playing via Steam), so that still wouldn't affect your Xbox gamertag in this case.
