Apex Legends - In Game, White Dot In Middle of Screen, And Mouse Does Not Work.

I am having an issue that when I am in the in game main menus, settings menu, or character selection, my mouse acts and responds fine. When the game loads, and I am finally in game, a white dot shows on the screen right in the middle, and a cursor arrow is present. The cursor is stuck to where the white dot is facing, so I have no control to look around. My keyboard (WASD) works just fine, so I can move freely, but due to the white dot, I am stuck facing in just the one orientation. No ability to look around. I have mashed every key to hopefully turn off to no success.

I have repaired the game, performed a clean boot, uninstalled Apex, re-installed, uninstalled Origin and re-installed as Admin, and re-installed Apex, plus reset ALL settings to default.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you using Discord by chance? I had the same issue and I think it was after I enabled in-game overlay for Apex in Discord settings. I just tried disabling it and quitting Discord. Restarted Apex and it seems to be working for now.

I have the same issue but for some reason i can't see the video that you posted. I just want to add that I was running the game fine this morning but when i opened it 5 hours after i closed it there was this white dot in my screen and my mouse was going on the dot after every move.In addition i could only see upwards.

Fixed video link. I too was able to also play for just a few hours, then the white dot appeared. Played to get up a few levels, then logged off for a few hours. Came back, and here I am.

Are you using Discord by chance? I had the same issue and I think it was after I enabled in-game overlay for Apex in Discord settings. I just tried disabling it and quitting Discord. Restarted Apex and it seems to be working for now.

I was using discord with the overlay but I tried it without and now it is just the same but I don't see upwards instead I see only in front of me

I was just able to fix this problem. In Origin, right-click the game and go to Game Properties, then disable Origin In-Game.
This video, which is not even 20 seconds long, helped me fix it (in case I didn't explain well enough).

I disabled it and it works fine. I enabled it after that and it also works fine so I guess it had bugged for some reason and you just need to disable and then if you want enable again the origin in game

I disabled origin overlay and it works but disabling discord doesn't work for me.

Same for me, disabling discord overlay doesn't fix it. Disabling the origin overlay does fix it. I've found reports from 2(!) years ago from people playing games like Titanfall 2 and having the same issue. The experience sucks without the overlay. Cant communicate with friends, cant buy anything in the store.

I cant open Game properties because there is no option
