Apex Legends closes after Respawn logo with no error since the latest update
Hello,
Since the latest Apex Legends update, I have been unable to play the game.
I launch the game through the EA App. The Respawn logo and intro animation play normally, but instead of loading into the lobby, the screen goes black for 1–2 seconds and the game closes instantly. There is no error message, no crash report, and nothing appears in Event Viewer.
The game worked perfectly before this update. The problem started immediately after installing the latest patch.
My system:
Windows 11 25H2
NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti
Latest NVIDIA Game Ready Driver (clean installed using DDU)
I have already tried:
Repairing the game in the EA App.
Completely reinstalling Apex Legends.
Reinstalling Easy Anti-Cheat.
Performing a clean NVIDIA driver installation using DDU.
Running sfc /scannow.
Disabling all overlays.
Performing a clean boot.
Updating Windows to the latest version.
Clearing the EA App cache.
Restarting my PC multiple times.
Renaming the Respawn and Apex folders by adding .bak to their names so the game would create completely new configuration files. This did not fix the issue.
None of these steps solved the problem.
I also tried to contact EA Support, but I cannot find any option to speak with a live support agent. The forum seems to be my only way to ask for help.
If this is a known issue after the latest update, please let me know. If not, could an EA staff member please investigate this issue? I am willing to provide DxDiag, EA App logs, or any other files if needed.
Thank you.
