Hey ac3E3 ,
Thanks for the detailed write-up and for listing what you’ve tried. We're sorry to hear you're experiencing game crashes. We understand this significantly impacts the gaming experience.
“Integrity Error 0x80000001” in Apex is almost always caused by Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) integrity checks; perhaps that's why verifying Steam files alone often isn’t enough.
Here’s the fastest set of things to try for Windows 11 + Steam + Discord setups like yours.
1. Repair EAC service (most important step)
- Steam → Apex → Manage → Browse local files
- Open the EasyAntiCheat / EasyAntiCheat_EOS folder
- Run EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe as Administrator
- Choose Apex Legends → click Repair Service
- EAC explicitly documents that games ship EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe and it’s used to repair the Windows service.
- After that: reboot and test.
2. Eliminate overlays/hooks as a test
- Disable Discord in-game overlay (Discord acknowledges overlay reliability issues in some games).
- Disable Steam overlay temporarily for testing (Apex can run without it; just to isolate).
- Disable NVIDIA overlay if installed (GeForce Experience / NVIDIA App).
- Close any monitoring tools (RTSS/MSI Afterburner), controller mappers (reWASD/DS4Windows), virtual drives, etc. These are commonly cited triggers for Apex integrity errors.
- Test 2–3 matches after making changes.
3. Do a Clean Boot test
Since you describe a pretty clean install, this is a quick way to prove whether a background service is the trigger:
- Win + R → msconfig
- Services → Hide all Microsoft services → Disable all
- Startup → open Task Manager → disable all startup items
- Reboot → launch only Steam + Apex
- If the crashes stop, re-enable items in batches to find the culprit.
Thank you for posting, hope that helps.

I had the same issue when doing the fix of reapairing EAC, the application doesnt even launch and just stop. It pops up and then close right after

Yeap, I got the same issue and followed a few tutorials, running it incompatibility mode, disabling fullscreen optimizations, going into services and making startup automatic, rebooting, the only thing that has worked for me was deleting the anticheat folder and then repairing it with steam, but I can only play a few minutes before it goes back to that problem and I am sick of it.

I have the exact same problem, but ONLY when the Storm Point map is in rotation. I can play as much as I want when it is not... but as soon as it is, this error occurs. I've tried many things my side... seems to be an EAC false flag for this map on my PC

Hi GahyeonDream ,
Thanks for the update.
If the EAC repair tool is opening and then closing immediately, a few things may still be worth trying if you haven’t already:
- Fully close the Steam / EA app first, then relaunch the platform client as Administrator
- Launch the game from the platform client itself rather than from a shortcut
- Make sure Windows is fully up to date
- Repair the game files as well, not just the anti-cheat side
If you’re on PC and willing to share it, a DxDiag report may also help give a bit more context on the system side.
This article might be helpful.
Thanks again for sharing that detail. We’ll make sure it’s noted along with the rest of the reports here.

Hello , i think ive done basically everything i found online and just to give it one more shot i decided to do these steps but yet again nothing works for me, even after a clean boot it still crashed due to the integrity error with literally 0 programs working in the background so idk , yeah :DD.

Hi T0x1C_D4rk
Sorry to hear that. I can definitely understand how much time and effort you’ve already put into trying to sort this out.
Since you’ve already gone through so many steps, could you let us know whether you’ve also tried using DDU to fully remove and reinstall the graphics driver, or rolling back to an earlier driver version to test?
Thanks again for sticking with it and for sharing what you’ve already tried.
