Apex Legends crash on start

Fresh install Windows 24h2, completely patched to May 2025 but I keep getting a failure in the dump file its saying INVALID_POINTER_READ_c0000005_r5apex_dx12runtime.dll!Unknown
I checked and confirmed the r5apex_dx12runtime.dll exists in the directory.

I did a DXDIAG confirmed direct x 12 was running

I have tried to uninstall reinstall Apex and the EA client

I tried running Apex from Steam client, and got the same error as well

Tried runninng sfc /scannow no file corruption found

repaired C++ redistributables 

rebooted

    Apex might try to run on your iGPU (the one thats builtin to your Intel CPU).
    Go to Windows Settings : System->Display-> Graphics and look if there is an entry for the r5apex_dx12.exe and if the right GPU (4080)  is selected under GPU Preference.

    Thanks, I did try your suggestion and still got the same issue.

    hm, fresh install ... i dont think a Driver Reinstall with DDU will do the trick. 
    i heard that 24H2 Update has some issues with EAC, but that wouldnt show as a DX12 Error i guess.
