Apex legends crashes my pc

Hi I recently have been having problems with Apex Legends, whenever I launch the game it takes me to the menu and then instantly crashes and restarts my PC. When I try other games I don't have this issue currently I am only getting it from Apex. I have tried changing install locations, repairing the game files, updating my drivers, doing a fresh install for my GPU currently + a loooot more I haven't found a single solution. Would anyone have any ideas what else I could do?

  • @distortedvzn Hello,

Have you checked out the communities forum trouble shoot guide? Here is an excerpt that fits your problem.

    Troubleshooting EasyAntiCheat.

Open your File explorer and locate to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Apex
    And delete the following files:

    EasyAntiCheat
    EasyAntiCheat_launcher.exe
    EasyAntiCheat_x64.dll
    Then locate to:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Apex\__Installer\customcomponent

    And delete the following files:

    EasyAntiCheat
Then restart Origin, go to Game Library, click on Apex Legends.
Then go to settings -> Game Properties and repair the game.

Removing Easy Anti Cheat from Firewall / Anti Virus.
Open your anti-virus software and locate yourself to the exception folder.
If you have here added an exception for Easy Anti Cheat, try to delete this exception and see if this solved the issue.

If this did not fix your problem, then there might be other underlying issues with your machine and will take further investigating.

Please try the steps above and reply back.
  • Thank you I’ll give those a look, i believe I may have fixed it but it has been due to a mis communication between NVIDIA and Apex. If nvidia has gsync on but apex has v sync I noticed that’s when it crashes + if I tried using a colour game filter it wouldn’t work either

Yes this would indeed cause conflicts, for better or for worse, turn them both off and start Apex normally.
  • Yeah, idk anymore I had it working for a short while and now it’s not working anymore. Driving me nuts I’ve tried everything at this point I think it’s a miscommunication between NVIDIA and Apex but idk how can fix it

@distortedvzn Thats not good to hear, however if thats what you did then it may play a roll if it fixed it self for a short period of time.
If you updated your drivers to the most recent, have you tried rolling them back to the previous version before the most recent?
its always safe to say if you don't need to update drivers the second they drop, they're bound to have issues (atleast i don't personally)

Another thing you can try is if you open up GEFORCE EXPERIENCE and go to Apex Legends details, you can optimize the game this way. This would be worth a try.

Also, do you have anything in your launch options?
  • Hey sorry for the late reply, I've tried launching with+without launch options, I've tried downgrading my graphics driver + reinstalling it. I really don't seen to be getting anywhere with the problem. Personally I think it could be something to do with easyanti cheat but even then I've tried so much on that end aswell
