Apex legends crashing without error

Same issue. Here's what I've found.
Would crash without error within 1 minute, couldn't even get past the initial first-time use dialog and to the character menu.
Finally, get passed this and setup all video settings to high. Game goes black and stalls. Had to end task.
Load game and notice my FPS counter isn't on and it's going slow. Look at the light that indicated if my using Intel vs Nvidia, it's using Intel instead of my 1070.
My solution was:
Exit game, right click, and tell it to run with dGPU. Loads, my light goes back to blue (intel) and it runs slow.
Changed settings in Nvidia to only use Nvidia. Game loads, FPS counter is there and game runs without issue.
It seems the game wants to default to my integrated card for some reason, which the game itself doesn't seem to be a fan of.

However I alt tabbed and an error message was there..

I used to get 0x887A0006 - DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG but now my pc freezes and no error pops up.
Going into my Event Viewer (win 10) i see this
