Apex Legends Engine Error and cant start

When I was playing Apex Legends, the game suddenly froze.
At the same time, there was no sound from the headset I was using.
I killed the game and tried to start it, but after initialization, a black screen appeared and the game could not be started.

So I plugged the headset back in, and the title screen appeared after a few seconds.
The following is the error message that appeared at that time.

commandline: "D:\ProgramFileX64\EA Games\Apex\r5apex_dx12.exe" -ranLauncher -game R2
title: Fatal Error - Engine Error
error: Failed to get Origin environment setting (make sure you are logged in before starting the game): The LSX server didn't respond within the set timeout. [a1080001]

This phenomenon never occurred before the update.
I started this thread because I thought there might be someone in a similar situation.

The headset I'm using is Logitech's G533 wireless.
Thank you in advance.

  • When the freeze occurred, I changed the sound output to the display, then back to headset output, and the freeze went away.
However, I still don't know the cause.
