Thank you so much for the info, once again. I'm in the same boat for using 7 for now (at least until the lack of support forces a change) but I hadn't even considered dual-boot since I'm not terribly savvy on that kind of thing. I'll be looking into it.
Definitely a weird situation where a single game compels me to try to radically overhaul my setup just because it's that enjoyable.
I wasn't either but I managed it.
There's youtube guides on how to create a bootable USB for windows 10 which can get you through most of it. All you need for that is an 8gb or more USB and a windows 10 key (or if you have previously used windows 10 on that pc, no need for key).
Then you restart your PC, go to BIOS, and choose your USB as your boost evice.
Then it asks you where you want to install windows 10. Like I mentioned before, you either have to partition your drive to have a separate space to install windows 10 so it doesn't overwrite windows 7. I have never once messed with drive partitioning before, so I actually just installed it on my 2nd SSD so I didn't have to learn (I use 2x256GB samsung SSDs).
Windows still detects that I have multiple versions installed even though they're on different drives, and gives me the easy one-click screen on startup to choose windows 7 or 10. So you can either watch some guides on partitioning drives, ask a savvy friend for help, or if you have a second hard drive or SSD you can install windows 10 to that.
Highly recommend, apex is so much fun when the game actually works, it might take a few hours but it's well worth.

by now it seems clear that the crashes are not hardware related at all. WIN 7 seems to be causing it for whatever reason.
as much as i love this game its barely playable. i can live with the other random crashes (gpu related, the ones without error, disconnections, game crashing on startup etc) but the memory crash often happens as much as in 50% of the games i play. this needs a fix NOW.
if the win7 userbase is so small that its not a priority fine, say game requires win 10 and ill just move on to something else... the game is amazing but at the same time the most frustrating expirience i had with a game in years..
/edit
first game after this post. kill leader, downed one of the last remaining squad, about to flank the other 2 engaged with my team -> memory crash. fun times....
- TheLawnChariot7 years agoRising NewcomerIts hard for me to want to spend another dime when I just crashed with 2 squads left. The nature of this game makes crashing so incredibly frustrating that it steers me away from wanting to play for fear of losing when so close to winning. The craze surrounding this game has made it the next Halo but currently there is a very large population open to another game because they can't stand to crash in this one.

I was playing and sniping and when I click on shift to run I got this crash. It is not the first time that it is in the same time I click on a key.
Do you have this feeling ?
