Apex Legends unplayable on Steam Deck after recent update

Hi,

since the last update Apex Legends has been unplayable on Steam Deck.

As soon as I enter any game, the framerate drops to 5 and there is a constant red error symbol (input delay).

Absolutely unplayable - any suggestions or a fix for steam deck? I don't see any mention on the trello board.
