Cant Sprint in Apex

I cannot sprint in Apex i came back to the game after a while and i go in the training range to practice a little before hopping on in a real match and i notice i cant sprint i thought maybe it was my controller but it works fine in every other game i play and also the game picks up my left stick command cause i was able to change the sprint to right stick and it still had the same problem no sprint i turned on auto run  and i can basically only run when i double click the left stick which really sucks in clutch situations. Im on PS5 btw and i have a new controller please help.
