Can't Start the Game (PS4)

So as the title says, I am incapable of starting my game. When you go to find the application in the library (I should also add, it is in the uninstalled section) , it shows a progress bar (which is fully filled and has been for 3 days). However, if you open it to where you can normally press the start button, it does show a start button. However, when you press this start button, it does not take you into the game. It says the following error: "Cannot find the application. Do you want to look in the PlayStation Store?". When you press Ok, it does send you to the game page in the store. However, I cannot uninstall, delete, or reinstall the game. Not to mention, in the store, it also shows the start button. When you click that start button, it says the same exact error message. When you click OK for the error message, it sends you to a repeat of the same screen you were just on. I can't figure out how to fix this, and it doesn't show up in my storage system, or my extension storage. My PS4 has a 2TB SeaGate attached, which is supposed to house my game applications. I have yet to transfer all my games from my PS4 to it, but Apex Legends is not in either.

If anyone can help me, please do. Also apologies if this is in the incorrect section.

I finally fixed my issue. It was because when I had purchased a game drive to extend my storage space, I didn't realize that the storage would cause this error since it was on it. I had to reformat it, in order to delete all of my applications on it, which kinda sucked. But I'm getting my stuff back now, so as a heads up to anyone who has this problem; If you have an extended storage device, and when you installed it, it started to ask if you wanted to download stuff, that data is still in the background of the driver. Thats what caused my issue the entire time.

  • I just tried this, sorry for the late response.

I still can't get it to work. Rebuilding the database didn't do anything, and the store is performing the glitch where it says, "Cannot find application. Want to find it in the store?" again. I'm honestly so lost as to what I could possibly do. I should probably also add that this started when I got my new hard-drive extension for my PS4. I noticed it came with a ton of other games installed that were free, but I didn't download any of them, and chose to delete the ones I wouldn't play. If you have anything else, I'll try it.

    Thank you in advance!

-Edit: I just realized, the download bar in the Not-Installed section is no longer infinite, but at a standstill at around 85%. Kind of odd.
