Cap your frame rate.
Go to origin->game library->right click on Apex ->Game properties->advanced->and put in Command line arguments: +fps_max 100. (You can try setting it lower too (90, 80, etc.)

This guide is a compilation of workaround fixes from what we've seen through various topics posted on our boards. It's a shortcut to steps that can help get you into the game right away and help save time searching through multiple pages to find answers. We understand this is frustrating and I want to let you all know this is currently being investigated by the Respawn team. They made a statement last week regarding PC stability hereWe are seeing a lot of success with players capping their frame rate right now. It looks like rolling back your GPU drivers, capping frame rate like what @Onijai said above, and playing in borderless video mode are having the most positive results. We hope these workarounds help get you into the game with minimal performance issues while this is still being investigated.
If there are any new workaround fixes that you've came across that isn't yet posted up on the guide we highly encourage posting those here.- 7 years agoMe and everyone I know who experience crashes (which is all except one) have tried all 3 of those suggestions with supposedly the most success. It has not made any difference for any of us, and we all have different hardware setups.
That is to say that I have a hard time believing that any of these supposed fixes have ever worked for anyone. Maybe it reduces the frequency of the crashes, but I doubt it has removed them altogether.
I'm also curious why these crashes seem to occur with different frequency with each reboot. Sometimes I can play without a single crash all day, then I reboot and suddenly I crash every other game. - 7 years ago
"this is currently being investigated by the Respawn team"
Which crash is being investigated? I was told by another EA member on 21st Feb that the studio was looking into dxgi_ crashes but no thread for bad_module info because it is "so broad and generic". Picture attached. (the post removal was perfectly valid, I'm not arguing that, btw.)
I responded to that message immediately, asking whether they were interested in the bad_module_info crashes and received no response, so we must assume that this game will remain unplayable?
Can confirm I've tried every 'fix' listed here and beyond, and I've yet to stumble into an actual fix.

@JOOOOKD
The team is currently aware of the error "bad_module_info" and we have a post we're tracking below.https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Bad-module-info/m-p/7422172/highlight/true#M834

Tried this; capped frames at 60 FPS and yet still crashes. MAYBE it shouldn't be US fixing this stuff, and it should be the damn game developers doing their jobs and making sure it doesn't constantly crash instead of bringing out new content.
