  • No, even after POPCNT is patched, your PC was never going to run Apex.

People need to look at the balance of specs in their system.

Your very weak 1GB graphics card was never a legitimate gaming card, even when it was first released - 8 years ago.

You would need to overclock your (very overclockable) Q9650 to about 3.5Ghz, and you would desperately need a new graphics card.

    For recent games:

Good old quad stock + ancient, weak GPU = forget it, zero chance.

Good old quad OC'd + recent, powerful GPU = a realistic chance.

Yeah I have to agree with RevGunthak

Even if the game would run with the CPU, the GPU is way too weak anyways. You wouldn't even get 15 FPS at most.

i have the same core2quad with 750 ti and 4gigs of ram ...

will it run on 4gb ram ???

  • That setup would be fine with 8GB of RAM.  Unfortunately 4GB doesnt really cut it.  As for the Q9650 on low/med settings that CPU plays pretty much anything.  Yeah you'll get a console experience with 30-40 fps but it is quite playable.  EA should patch the game to accept the Q9XXX series CPU's
