@EA_Mako That is very sad... So my back when Apex Dropped, my son (then around 10ish), logged in on my account on the Playstation started playing Apex. He is now just over level 600 (heirlooms, skins, etc). Around season 5 he convinced me to join him, so I joined on PC (when Cross play started). I am also now just over level 600 (heirlooms, skins, etc). Basically my account on the Playstation is what he's been playing on since Season 1, and the account on the PC is what I've been playing on since Season 5. I managed to just recently pass him in levels on the PC (If I had known at the beginning of the season this is how Cross progression would have worked, we would have figured out how to keep HIS variant as the highest level set vs. mine!). Which means all of his starts on the PS will be lost/merged in with all my my stats on the PC. Which we really didn't want to occur.
1) Will this prevent us from both being logged in under the same account on PS and PC and playing together?
2) Will it pick the best stats from each character/season and merge it or will it toss out all the stats that existed from one of the accounts? (i.e. apply a MAX function on things)
3) Will it muck up all the badges and such from earlier season that either of us have?
Odds are this will prevent/stop him from playing Apex breaking one of our fun times together, since all of his stats will be lost. (like what happened in Season 8ish where my account on the PC was Banned for no reason, and took 2 seasons to get fixed, and he essentially stopped playing).
At least if I could PICK which of the 600+ accounts to be treated as the main one, it would be better stats wise (His stats blow mine out of the water)
Hey @BinkDeBook,
Sorry to hear about that, as it definitely sounds like you've each put in quite a bit of time and effort into the account.
Unfortunately, this would be a side effect of sharing the account as it's intended for each player to be using their own individual EA account.
In those situations where multiple people are on the same account, I'm afraid we really don't have a way around it as this is technically against our User Agreement. Which isn't meant as a callout, just to share some clarity on why this type of thing will be very limited in terms of alternative options.
It's likely you may not both be able to sign into the same account simultaneously after this and would need to create a second account, though this would also be starting from scratch as progress cannot be transferred across EA accounts.
The stats that are migrated will be based on your primary (highest level) account, as one of the few things that cannot be merged.
Badges are a different beast entirely as they'll work a bit differently depending on the type of badge. Feel free to click through the spoiler for more details on that as this post is already approaching wall of text status. 🙂
Some badges from Apex Legends’ earlier seasons previously earned on a non-primary account (an account that isn't the highest level at the time of Cross Progression) may not be merged into the new Cross Progression enabled account which will be used going forward.
If these badges can be earned again through future gameplay, that is the only way to reacquire these badges.
For badges that cannot be obtained again due to their nature - e.g. a badge awarded for completing a former season’s Battle Pass or achieving a particular rank in an old season - Respawn is investigating returning these badges to affected users in the future.
We'll have more to communicate about this investigation and its outcome at a later date.
