You are not the only one with this issue my brother, if it is not too much, I would like to explain my half. A long * time ago back in 2015, I was I was about 12 years old, and my brothers friend used my Xbox account to make a EA account for Mass Effect 3, and flash forward to 2019 when apex came out, I made an Ea account for apex on my PlayStation and steam account, and now we are here, where cross prog is no longer a rumor. to prepare for the merge, I wanted to link my Xbox account, so I can get all my rare skins and stats transferred over, so its easier to play with friends. And I go to link my Xbox account and it states that there is a Ea account already associated with my box account. Okay no big deal, I'll just sign into Ea using my Xbox credentials, and unlink it. Oh no I require an verification code from the email address, and the email in question came up as one that I do not recognize , so I start to dig a little deeper, and I ask my brother and he recognizes the account, okay well this isn't my first time getting into old accounts by guessing easy passwords, but I go into the email, and its been rendered as inactive, because there has been no activity on the email address for a very long time. Damn, I guess I'm at a stalemate, so I contact an EA advisor seeking help, mind you, all I am asking is, them to access the Ea account a potentially unlink the Xbox account tied to it, so I can relink it to my primary EA account, shouldn't be too difficult seeing that they can ban your entire account with a single mouse click right ? Wrong ! I explain to the representative my problems and that I do not know, and or remember any of the details, and in order to access them, I require a verification code to view these things, but the email cannot be accessed by any means due to the state of inactivity. and they tell me to "try and remember the details" like c'mon man I was literally 12 years old and I am turning 21 next year, I am not going to remember much lol. And this all could've been avoided if my brothers friend didn't use my Xbox account to make an EA account back in 2015 ! So the advisor states that maybe I can contact a Microsoft support agent. but little does that person know, is that Microsoft has nothing to do with this, besides providing authentication for the linking and unlinking of the account . So the advisor was just trying to "pass the buck" in a sense. And this is now onto day 5 of me trying to resolve this simple, yet uncommon issue. I am beginning to lose my patience, because EA is a multi-billion dollar company, I know that they can do anything they want with an account with very few mouse clicks. And bare in mind, the EA account that holds my Xbox account is Thomman1, and you can see my username, and they look pretty similar don't they !? Both accounts share My First Name and Last Name.
