Cross progression

  1. I still haven’t received cross progression will there be any more waves? Also is there a way to see if it has linked over manually? I am hoping to get my Xbox account linked to my pc/steam account

    Hi @LunaJoe7 

    To confirm your situation is a bit different, however, this information was provided by the team on Apex Legends ea.com page here. 

    EA progress and items are stored at an EA account level and not the platform account. If you unlinked your level 500 Xbox account from its original EA account to link it to an EA account tied to a PC you will not carry over your progress. 

    It will look like this:

    Spoiler

    EA account 1: Xbox Progress, Xbox Account

    EA account 2: PC Progress, PC Account

    --- If you unlink Xbox ---

    EA account 1: Xbox Progress, 

    EA account 2: PC Progress, PC Account, Xbox Account

    To attempt to restore progress for your Xbox account you will need to relink it to it's original account, for more information on linking and unlinking check out our help articles:

    Please keep in mind the following:

    - EA accounts cannot be merged

    - You may need to wait to relink the Xbox to it's original EA account (see links above)

    - If you relink your Xbox platform to its original EA account you won't be able to use it with cross-progression on the PC platform (without unlinking it, losing items/progress, and linking to the EA account tied to Xbox)

    Hi @Ianinator5 

    For your first question, the cross-progression merge is done automatically. YOu can try closing out of your game and relaunching to confirm if you get the notification you are ready for cross-progression. 

    To confirm was your account made prior to Oct 26th?

    For your second question to check is your Xbox and Steam accounts are linked to different EA accounts?

    If so, it will not be possible to have these merged over as items, skins, and progress are stored at the EA account level and not the platform account.

    So if you wish to keep what you have unlocked on both, they will need to stay separate. However, if you wish to simply have them all on one account to use with cross-progression then the account you unlink would lose everything it currently has (however this is not something we recommend).

    It’s possible my steam is linked to a separate EA account but I had nothing happen I will see if I have any other EA accounts and yes my account was made well before this October.

    Hi

    I was completely un-aware there was a cut off date for these waves, as I have only just come back to apex after a few months. I linked my old level 500 xbox account to my EA account after the 26th october. Am I really not going to get my old items and stats because i was out of the loop? Is there no chance of future waves? I spent a fortune on my xbox account before moving to PC so it would be infuriating to miss out on this
