HiAnyone else having issues saving their custom reticle colour? As soon as set my colour (Green) and then exit menu , it reverts to a default green. I have tried putting in the numbers myself and clicking on apply but same difference. As soon as i exit out the custom retricle menu it reverts back.Any idea?Thanks

Don't know how the devs don't even test something as basic as this.None of the methods work for me (launch options, locked profile.cfg, autoexec.cfg). The color always reverts to default.Seriously, the devs need some competent new hires or something.

@Sazabi888Similar issues can occur of your PC account lack permission to write to your config file.Try this:Navigate to C:\Users\[YourPCUsername]\Saved Games\Respawn\Apex\profileRightclick on the file named "profile.cfg" (you might not see the .cfg part if you don't have that enabled) and select propertiesUntick the read only checkboxClick apply and exitNow try to restart Apex and change your crosshair settings again.

@Godisbullen Hi already tried that permission not issue. The file is writeable and not locked by read permissions. Can see it updated correctly once Apex closes. The weird thing is something else changes it back on next relaunch. So must be some other file or mechanism somewhere that's overriding the local config including the profile.cfg file. Noticed if I change jetpack from toggle to hold it reverts on next launch too.

@Sazabi888 This might be an ugly workaround, but it could do the trick.Launch Apex and configure the settings to your liking, now, before closing Apex, change the config.cfg file to be readonly. This should prevent other applications from overwriting it.You could also check your steam launch options for Apex. Make sure you're not executing some other config file or something like that.

@Godisbullen Thanks for the help and replies Tried that too unfortunately. So even if you lock the profile.cfg. it just switches back to default. So if you reload again it doesn't read the setting. Weird. 😟

Try this:

Rightclick on the file named "profile.cfg" (you might not see the .cfg part if you don't have that enabled) and select properties
Untick the read only checkbox
Click apply and exit
Now try to restart Apex and change your crosshair settings again.

@Sazabi888I've got one more thing you can try.

deleting the file "video_settings_saved_quit" in the folder of the game :" C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Apex\cfg"

@Sazabi888 i came here looking for the same thing played a game realized it was only for the sights that give the color not the hip fire reticle.

If you are using autoexec.cfg, just add this to the cfg file : reticle_color "0 255 0" (if you want green as reticle color)

Same there no point even making the profile.cfg file read only because if it cant write to it. It just changes the menu back to default. Really buggy. I have to set my colours every game.

Also other people have reported this as well. They have done one better and made a video clip of the issue.
