Diamond Last Split, Reset to Silver 3
I’ve encountered something strange with the rank reset this season and would appreciate any clarification or help.
Last split, I finished in Diamond rank, and after the rank reset, I was placed in Silver 3.
However, my friend, who was Silver rank last season (and barely played, very inactive), got reset to Silver 1.
This seems inconsistent, especially considering the rank reset is supposed to demote players by a fixed number of divisions. Shouldn’t a Diamond player be reset higher than someone who was previously Silver?
Is this a bug or is there a change in the reset logic this season that I missed?
Any insights from the devs or players who experienced similar situations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I'm still waiting on my very slow mobile dowmload to see where I'm put back to, but according to a short note in the patch notes our starting placement in ranked is now based solely on our "hidden skill value", I assume its some sort of overall ranked games skill value for Apex, how its arrived at specifically idk
