Disable controller detection for hybrid use

Hi guys!

This is probably one of the more unusual requests you'll hear being asked...

Is there a way I can DISABLE controller detection. The reason I ask is because I have a disablility in my left hand which makes using a keyboard very uncomfortable and traditionally I play hybrid, controller in left hand with a mouse on the right.

However because there's no way of disabling the controller input, a back and forth conflict occurs making it unplayable.

With steam games I can use big picture mode to disable controller inputs then use xpadder for WASD inputs, but origin doesn't have this option.

Is there a line of code I can add in the config file or something?

  • YESSSSSSSSSSS. PLZ read this devs and implement a way to disable controller detection

  • Just let anyone know whom would prefer the controller mouse setup.

    Follow these steps.

    1. add origin to non steam games

    2. Add apex also

    3. Use steams big picture mode to disable controller input by removing them from apex controller settings, also 'force on' in settings

    4. setup your own inputs using steam big picture or use xpadder

5 Disable oriigin overlay on apex's properties screen. Games library, right click.

    6. Sign out of origin with remeber me sign in on.

    7. Launch game through steam

This process make steam the master program governing controller inputs.

Please be aware this DOES NOT manipulate aim assist since the controller is essentially disconnected from apex.

This simply turns your controller into a keyboard.
