EAC increasing shut down time
Not really expecting a solution as such but some insight would be great - this isn't game breaking and is an incredibly specific issues but anyone who knows EAC in more detail some insight would be great.
Basically if I don't touch Apex (via Steam) play any other game that doesn't require EAC then when I go to shut my PC down... doesn't matter whether it's 5 mins after closing the game or 1 hour my shut down is normally anything from 5 - 10 seconds - what you would expect right?
However having tested a lot of scenarios to pin point this issue it seems that any time during a session that I open apex (don't even need to enter match) - when I then go to shut down my PC again doesn't matter whether it's 5 mins or 1 hour later. It then takes around 1min 20 sec to shut down.... so a relatively huge increase in shut down time.
The only thing I can think of besides the game itself (as aforementioned testing made sure apex and steam were both closed not running any processes including EAC not running either as part of the many scenarios I ran) would be EAC as I understand it's kernel level?
So this is where my knowledge is lacking but given that EAC is no longer running with the game off could it have made Kernel level changes during it's operation that lasts after it's no longer running that could cause a shutdown to take that much longer than usual?
Like I said it's not a deal breaker waiting for a min longer for a PC to shut down is hardly the end of the world but if anyone with more knowledge on what EAC actually does and how I can better identify this issues to even hypothesize a solution that would be great - I have tired looking for clues in Event viewer, WPR & WPA - but there is nothing that's particularly standing out.
