error code: tap

Hello

I had the same problem last season with connecting to ranked lobbies. It's starting to get very frustrating as there seems to be no fix on my end. I run a ethernet cable from my router straight into my pc and my router runs default settings. Every other game works fine, except apex legends ranked. I've tried every single fix that these forums have, but nothing has helped. I'm not using a VPN.

Hello again,
I bought a VPN service and switched to a network closer to EU central servers, that got rid of "error code: tap". I still have no actual explanation why it solved the issue, but it just might have something to do with a timeout while trying to connect to ranked servers. It's ridiculous that I now have to pay 20 euros a month to play Apex ranked because of bad EA servers, but at least I can play now. If someone still has similar issues, try out a VPN, and hopefully you can find one that you can refund after trying it.

Same here, I've tried everything. I'm currently in platinum and cant play more than 1-2 games without crashing. Reinstalled game, no difference at all. So frustrating, my friend plays on ps5 and hes not having any issues.

hi is it possible for u to share ur vpn settings?
