My friend had a similar issue with his PS4... I remember him telling me that he had to go into settings for the PS4 console and change the internet connection to Lan/ Cable mode and that worked for him. Not sure if you have done this yet so just wanted to mention it....

Yeah that’s the first thing I do when connecting an Ethernet cable. It connects just fine, and all other games work with the LAN connection active, except for Apex. The game loads and I can sit in the lobby, but once I try to join a game it will sit in the loading screen and give me a timeout error.
- JDmRogue13 years agoRising Scout@GroovyCarnitas Sorry to hear about your issues with Apex. Have issues with rubberbanding, freezes, & stuttering during game play. It's hard enough as it is without these issues. I want to run e-net too but would have to run a long e cable from router. Well hope you get it worked out cause it's fun when there aren't any isuues during game play...
