False permanent "Gameplay Enhancement" ban in Apex Legends
On July 18, I received a permanent "Gameplay Enhancement" ban while playing Apex Legends on Steam.
The ban happened during an active match after I had already been playing normally for several hours. I was disconnected with a message saying that my game account had been banned.
I have been playing Apex Legends since Season 0, and my EA account has existed since 2012. During all these years I have never used cheats, macros, recoil scripts, Cronus, XIM, reWASD, DS4Windows, AutoHotkey, Cheat Engine, or any other software designed to modify gameplay.
At the time of the ban, my setup was:
Steam version of Apex Legends
Official GameSir G7 SE wired controller
Official firmware v6.6.4
Standard Xbox/XInput mode
Steam Input set to DefaultNo GameSir Nexus application running while playing
The only controller settings I had configured were:
1000 Hz polling rate
Deadzone adjustment
Back button remapping (Jump and Crouch)
No macros, rapid fire, turbo, scripts, or automated inputs were used.
I also checked my installed drivers and devices. Everything appears to be standard Windows, AMD, NVIDIA, Logitech, and official GameSir software.
I have submitted three appeals to EA. Every response has been identical, stating only that the sanction was correctly applied, without addressing any of the technical details I provided.
At this point I am trying to understand what could have triggered the "Gameplay Enhancement" detection.
Has anyone experienced something similar while using an official GameSir controller or another licensed controller?
I am not asking anyone to bypass anti-cheat or justify cheating. If I made a mistake, I would accept the punishment. I simply want to understand whether this could be a false positive and whether anyone has successfully had a similar case manually reviewed.
Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Hey xRuSiK,
Unfortunately we can't help with bans here on the forums, and we don't have the rools to look into them. If you've already reached out to our terms of service team multiple times and they've concluded that the ban was justified, then I'm afraid that it's likely that it's going to stay on the account.
