FPS ISSUE with ultrawide monitor

I am playing on my gaming laptop and my problem is that when i play my game just dumps ther fps to the 10-20s range for a fews seconds making the game impossible to play. I have shared a video to show you what i am experiencing. Any help would be apreciated.

I have managed to figure out that it is a problem with my monitor because when i play on my laptop screen i am having no issues whatsoever.
