Game freezes in loading screen at launch.

I started having this problem just recently after I've been away for a week. When I press play on steam, the easy anti-cheat takes a longer than usual time on "waiting for game" and the game starts but freezes almost instantly.

I've tried various methods such as restarting, reinstalling, closing backround applications, etc. Thought maybe it was an EAC problem and tried to repair by running the setup, but it keeps closing immediately and nothing happens.
