Game freezes, then looses connection to server (AMD FX-6300 related?)

I have the same exact problem, freezing a couple of seconds in the middle of the game and then crashing without error.

My CPU is FX-6300 as well.

I have the same issue , but what server are you playing on? My guess is that is not the pc but the server,  I think brasil has some issues

I think it is the CPU. My bet is the game freezes for some reason, then the disconnection comes because of that. I had some problems with CS:GO too. Not with disconnections but crashes because of multicore rendering. Maybe there is a launch param from source engine that we can try. I already tried with mat_queue_mode 0 (multicore rendering off) but no luck.

Thanks for the posts, I've definitely seen reports of issues with this CPU, and if we can find a workaround or fix we'll give an update.

I have seen multiple people have the same issue with i7 6700HQ as well.

It does this same exact thing on the Intel Pentium G4400 if that helps at all. I have been seeing a lot on this with Intel and Amd. Definitely not the best processor but every other game is running maxed out in 1080p.

That system is with a g4400, rx580 and 8gb ddr4.

I'm facing same issues. I guess its the processor. As soon as I launch my game, the main menu have sound stuttering problem for few seconds, then it gets fixed automatically.

Further, my game freezes randomly for few seconds and then it crashes to main menu saying "connection timed out". I'm facing this issue almost after every game and sometimes mid-game. The game doesn't even have reconnect option so it's quite annoying.

GTX 960 2GB DDR5

8GB ddr3 ram
