Grey textures after changing videoconfig.txt

Grey textures after changing videoconfiig.txt recommended by some tweak performance guide. Repaired, deleted temp files, still not work. Any other tips beside reinstalling the game is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Edit: problem solved after restoring settings back to original inside nvidia inspector

Rename the videoconfig file to videoconfig.old so you can undo this if required.

Save the new filename and start up the game, the file should be recreated with default settings.

    Thanks.

  • I know what that is, it's not about game files or videoconfig.txt, that is a setting for nvidia inspector, i mean u probably run nvidia inspector and change few things on that, to remind it back, you should reinstall from 0 all the graphics drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) from guru3d (you can see a yt video tutorial for that) or try to open again Nvidia Inspector, click on the nvidia icon (right over driver version) and reset the custom Apex Legends profile. So select the Apex legends from profiles and see one of the top botton if there's something like "reset" or "reset profile" or u can set manually to default all the antialiasing relative options. By the way the only thing you should do to optimize Apex Legends is make sure if your windows timer resolution is exactly 0.500 or 1.000 and not like 0.498 or 0.998. Then if u have high-end pc enhance the fps from the line +fps_max 0 in advanced startup options from the launcher, and see if u have input lag problems problems or is perfect. If u still have input lag or other things u can try follow ALL the the Panjno Season 5 Apex Legends optimizations on Youtube and use RTSS Rivatuner to cap the fps at 190 (in some pc that can help reduce input lag and remove some strange things) and set ALL the video settings to Low (in-game) or just texture and texture filter to medium-high and antialiasing on if u want but that can reduce fps a little bit. A clean Windows 10 Installation can always help to get better fps, just make sure to don't install any virus. By the way that strange grey settings are used in many games to cheating, so i don't recommend you to use it it's not legit and you can get banned like if u use that on Rainbow Six Siege or other games, keep that in mind.

  • Are we allowed to make changes in the Videoconfig.txt file? I think my account got banned because of that? I changed shadows to ''0'' and about 1 houer later my account got perma banned for cheating?
