i can’t log onto apex legends on my ps5.
i tried to log on and it told me “please reset your password” and that my login credentials have expired. i reset my password and it did nothing. i then tried to see if my ea account was linked to my psn, it says i could link an account but then it said that the account i use on my playstation was already linked as shown in the image.

This sounds like your PSN account is currently linked to an EA account that's been deactivated.
At this point our support team would need to help either update the login info on that account or by unlinking the PSN so you can re-link it to your current EA account instead.
Do keep in mind that if you unlink the account however, any progress you had there would be left behind. Because of that it may be better to try updating the login information rather than unlinking the account.
If you create a new case here and select Game Support > The EA app > I want to update my EA Account information or I need help logging in to my EA Account, you should be able to get in touch with the support team so they can assist further.
