Did you try updating to a newer GPU version? (Or reverting back to an older one)
Specifically AMD GPU's seem to be having some instabilities with some drivers when playing Apex, but for other GPU's this advice is applicable too; so definitely worth a shot. - TheFirePhoenix693 months agoNewcomer
Tried installing Apex Legends from EA. After installation, I get this same exact error and crash report handle. With the same type of .dmp file being created. I will share it here. Do any one of you have any insights?

would getting new sticks of RAM also fix this problem as my sticks are getting outdated and I am planning on changing them for some that are faster, and I will make sure there compatible with my motherboard.

I see, faulty RAM could also explain why this is happening, does this mean you're still using one of the faulty sticks of RAM?
Make sure to test them properly using MemTest86+, information on how to do so can be found here: https://rtech.support/guides/memtest/memtest86/#_topSo make sure you aren't using any bad sticks of RAM at all, and make sure to put them in the correct lanes as per your motherboard manual.

Before this I had upgraded my CPU from a Ryzen 7 2700x to a Ryzen 7 5800x, in the process found out that one of my memory sticks went bad so I replace it with a different one. I also tried taking out the stick that I put in and one of the working ones and put the two lefts on the A and C lanes for the RAM, but this had not solved the problem so I put them back in.

I've taken a look at the Crash Dump and DxDiag you sent over, and it seems likely caused by 3 things:
- Background software interfering (Usually Overlays or Antivirusses)
- Overclocked Hardware
- Unstable GPU Drivers
Here's a small list of software that could cause this:
- Razer Synapse
- Software with overlays (e.g., Geforce Experience, MSI Afterburner/Rivatuner, AMD's Overlay, Discord's overlay, etc)
- gdipp
- MacType
- d3dgear
- amBX
Probably some other software as well, try closing as many applications you have running in the background that you do not need and turn off as many overlays to see if it changes anything. If you are using an antivirus, then this could potentially also cause this.
If there isn't any problematic software (At least as far as you can pinpoint), then continue to the next question:
Do you have any overclocked hardware? (e.g., RAM, CPU, GPU)
If so, try turning them down back to base clocks and see if that resolves it.Also, when did you start encountering this issue?
Looking at your GPU Drivers, they are recent, but if this started happening after updating your GPU drivers, then it's possible your new GPU drivers might actually be unstable and causing it for some reason. In which case I'd recommend to revert your GPU driver to an older versionIf you need any further assistance, be sure to let me know!

Ah yeah the forums apparently don't support it natively, here are some steps on how to zip the file.
- Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the file
- Hold Shift and Right click the *.dmp file
- Go to "Send to"
- Select: "Compressed (zipped) folder"
It should generate a .zip file, which you should be able to send on the forums.
Here's also a gif illustrating it:
Let me know if you need further help zipping the file or uploading it to the forums!

do you have instructions on how I could share it here as when I try to put the save in here it says the file format isn't allowed
