I need my EA accounts merged

I would just like to ask if there’s any possible way that I can merge two EA accounts without loosing any data? I used to play apex legends on Xbox and I have two years worth of data. All of my data is on an older EA account. I switched to ps5 and I started playing apex legends again, but I accidentally linked it to a different EA account. So I have my old Xbox data on one EA account, and now my newer PlayStation data on a different EA account. I understand linking my psn to the EA account with my Xbox data would make me lose my data, but just today Respawn revealed cross-progression is finally going to be released. I’m just wondering if there’s any new way I’d be able to merge the data from both EA accounts and at least have both my Xbox and PlayStation data on the same account. Thank you.

  • Hey @pearlmaster17,

To follow up on what @XHelperZ mentioned already, while there is not a way to merge or transfer your progress from two separate EA accounts, it may still be worth looking into linking the platforms to the same account.

If you're wanting to make use of Cross Progression on these accounts going forward, you will need to move one platform or the other to the same EA account. That won't bring content from your second EA account, but you would have access to your main EA account content on both platforms from that point forward.

If you've already made substantial progress on the newer account as well and don't wish for that to be lost, keeping the accounts separate would be the only other option at this time.

Sadly enough it's not possible to merge EA accounts in such a way that the data from both platforms get merged.

In your case, you won't be able to profit from the cross progression update.

Do you have any information on whether we should move the secondary account now or after cross progression is released?

    Concerned about this part:

"Note: to prevent exploitation, any secondary Apex Legends accounts created after Oct 26th for the same EA account, will not be eligible to be merged."

  • @EA_Mako Thank you for the help. I actually have more progress on my newer one, but I really want my old skins. Is it just guaranteed that I’d lose all the data on my Xbox apex account if I unlinked it from my old EA account, then relinked it to my EA account with my PlayStation data? Do you think anytime in the future there could be a solution if I wait long enough? I just don’t want to lose my data, but I don’t use Xbox at all anymore so I only want to use cross progression to merge my skins. There’s no way to merge personas without losing my progress either right? Also I noticed the option to download your EA data on account settings, what does that exactly mean? Thank you for all of the help everyone.

If you unlink a platform from your EA account, that progress will not carry over if you then link that platform to a different account, correct. That would be lost, because the progress is stored on the EA account where that's linked, not the Xbox account being moved.

In the scenario you're describing, if you unlink your Xbox account from the older EA account and connect it to the new EA account with your PlayStation account, you'll then be able to access the content on that newer EA account with either Xbox or PlayStation. There wouldn't be anything brought over from the old EA account however.

Cross Progression is for multiple platforms within a single EA account, not to merge separate EA accounts together. I can't say what the future holds, but we don't have any plans to extend this to multiple EA accounts currently, as that's an undertaking of an entirely different level. 🙂

The option to download EA data has some additional details here, but I'm afraid it's not at all related to anything that would allow a transfer of progress across separate accounts, if that was the idea.

    Hi @W4R2O,

If you're talking about two separate EA accounts, your progress cannot be carried over anyway, so the note you've mentioned wouldn't apply.

If you're talking about two different platform accounts (Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, Steam, EA app, etc.) and they're both already connected to the same EA account, you won't need to move anything to take advantage of Cross Progression.
  • Hi there, I'm just curious. Although I understand there are no plans whatsoever to add the ability to merge EA accounts, in your.expert opinion though, is that something that is technically possible?

    Thanks

  • @xhazyx Unfortunately I'm in the same boat as OP. I spent a lot of money on Xbox and PC Apex Legends but both accounts are on different EA accounts.
