Internet is Perfect but I Have Extremely High Ping After Season 16

Every multiplayer game I play works perfectly fine but after the Season 16 update, I've been getting 300-400 ping in my matches.

One game I play my ping is around 50-60, but the game after that its 400. If I reboot the game it's back to 50.

The only "solution" that works is rebooting the game but as you can tell it's not practical to do after every 1 or 2 games.

I've tried:

- Verifying game files

- Rebooting my computer, game client and my router multipler times

nothing seems to fix it. Does anyone have the same problem as me?

  • So when I have these problems I ask my teammates if they do have them as well, most of the time 1 other squad member has it but the other one states that their game is fine and can be played without issues. I'm starting to wonder if it's a issue with server getting crowded, like if I connect later (after a certain amount of people connected) maybe the server can't keep up with the number of players. But this wasn't a problem until now? I really don't know.

  • I found somewhat of a fix for mine, at least it fixed the ping issues. Try downloading a VPN and using the closest local server. I used ExpressVPN, but anything will work. I think there are connection stops that the VPN bypasses which free up the connection.

It’s counterintuitive, as you would think it would only add latency going through a VPN but my game went from borderline unplayable to completely back to normal. It’s worth a shot, even if you just try a free trial on one of the major VPN’s.

  • Darn. The only other fix I’ve seen for it is downloading a VPN. I hope you can play normally soon.
