Have you played on Steam previously, or was that ranked play from your Xbox account?
The ranked leaderboards are still separated by platform, so if you hit Plat 3 on Xbox but haven't yet played ranked on Steam, seeing Rookie there would be normal.
Once the season ends, your badge will reflect the highest rank you achieved across all platforms, however. So for example if the season ended now, you'd still receive a Plat badge despite it showing a current Rookie rank on Steam, in this case.

If you've unlinked any accounts from your EA account, your progress would be lost.
Progress cannot be transferred from one account to another account. You would need to re-link to your original EA account(s) to try recovering any missing content.
