Lost progress and support could not help

I've been having the same thing. Tagging my experience onto yours to hopefully get some eyes for us both. 

Disabled player, can't work, gaming is all i can do really. Xbox account was linked to a throwaway EA account. EA Support agent Shubham eventually told me he could link the two EA accounts so I could have all my cosmetics. 

That was after three months of bot replies. 

In reality, he just DELETED the entire Xbox account. Cosmetics and progress. £2500 worth of cosmetics, gone, because of an EA agent that failed to fix my account during cross progresion.

Hope we can get this sorted.

my Xbox account was linked to a now-deleted EA account. 

I'm aware that would mean losing progress, that's the issue I was tackling because i wanted to link it to this EA account. The EA agent said he could do this. In reality he just deleted my EA account that had the xbox account linked, losing everything.

I've contacted support and gotten nothing but the same messages. It's been 8 months. I'm disabled. I would truly expect some compensation in the form of in game currency, packs, or inputting at least SOME of my items like heirlooms.

I would happily even video call a dev to prove there's no lies here. I just want what i've paid for.

Even if the old EA account was not deleted and your Xbox account was just re-linked here instead, sadly you still would have lost all progress. The act of unlinking itself is what caused everything to be lost.

There is no way to transfer any progress from one EA account to another, even by moving the individual platform accounts (such as Xbox).

Looking back at the original conversation, it looks like they simply unlinked the account as requested since you had mentioned it was accidentally linked to the wrong account initially and you were trying to prepare for Cross Progression.

Unfortunately that would not help with Cross Progression as the content on the account would never transfer from one EA account to another. It would remain on the original EA account regardless of linking it to a new account.

If the original EA account is now deleted, you can try restoring the account and then re-linking the Xbox account back to that original account. Trying to get this re-linked would be the only way to attempt recovering any of your old progress or content.

I trust EA support can find chat logs between my email and an agent called Shubham.

I had contacted multiple agents before him and made it abundantly clear of my situation.

I said the xbox account was linked to the wrong EA account. I wanted it to link to the current one im using now.

After THOROUGHLY checking with Shubham, that this would enable me to have ALL my items (I can assure you I asked DIRECTLY), he went through with the action.

Not only did I not get my cross progression items, they were all deleted. 

You're telling me, that because of the fault of an EA agent, I get ZERO compensation or help to get ANY items back? 

If there's no way to move progress between EA accounts, that is not my fault. I was told by the SUPPORT team that this would solve my issue.

I did see the conversation where the below disclaimer was provided to you specifying that unlinking an account would result in the loss of progress. That was accepted as well before any action was taken. I'm sorry if there was further confusion, but the situation in this disclaimer that was accepted is exactly what happened here.

When we unlink a platform account from your account, you will be able to link that platform account to another EA Account, but your in-game progress will not transfer over. That means you’ll lose access to all entitlements, games, memberships or subscriptions, and in-game purchases that are associated with that platform account. You will also permanently lose all game progress. If we unlink a platform account you use to play FIFA or EA SPORTS FC, and that platform account is still set as active in the Web or Companion App, you will lose access to those apps entirely on your account. If we unlink a platform account you use to play Apex Legends, you may have issues with Battle Pass leveling, item unlocks, and other errors.

Once you unlink a platform account from your EA Account and link it to another, you won’t be able to unlink it again for six months. You also will not be able to link it to an EA Account that has already had the same type of account linked to it before, even if there isn’t one currently linked. That means if you’ve had an Xbox account linked to your EA Account in the past, you can’t link a different Xbox account to it in the future.

Can you confirm that you would still like to have the platform account unlinked from your EA Account?

As mentioned before, if the original EA account is now deleted, you can try restoring the account and then re-linking the Xbox account back to that original account.

i accept that i agreed to that disclaimer but that was after multiple times of asking, repeatedly, if this would work. asking if this would give me my cosmetics. if you can see that the disclaimer is there, then you should be able to see the rest of the conversation.

trying to get the original back is useless. That still won't merge my accounts. Having ONE EA account per LIFETIME is stupid, it removes any chance for mistakes.

So because i accepted the disclaimer, even though the agent told me multiple times that this would work, i get nothing.

ok i understand. Ultimately it's a very large flaw, whether that comes from EA or Respawn. I never would have gotten my items, because I couldn't change the account. Seems like every other service handles it fine.
