Merging EA accounts to get cross progression

Attempting to merge my PSN and Steam account with long awaited Cross Progression from EA.

I'm here trying my best to figure out if someone can please help me. I've been told by EA help that there was nothing that can be done in my situation. I've played this game since the 2nd day it was released. I spent over $1000.00 on a PSN account over a few years and migrated to PC/Steam account which I've spent about $500.00. I would LOVE to merge my accounts but since I linked my accounts 5 days after the cut off time, I'm unable to be helped. While after this discussion I did refer to the https://www.ea.com/games/apex-legends/news/cross-progression and it says "Note: to prevent exploitation, any secondary Apex Legends accounts CREATED after Oct 26th for the same EA account, will not be eligible to be merged." Well... I haven't created an account, just trying to merge my 1k account to my steam account. It just sucks, you guys didn't inform us via in-game alerts (which would have been the best way). I just had to "hear" about it, then afterwards its nothing you guys can do. It's unacceptable from a company like EA. Please help.

    Hey @dpasomnk,

To clarify, if you had progress on separate EA accounts, this was never able to be merged even before October 26th. This is not what's changing with Cross Progression.

Progress is stored on the EA account level, not individual platforms like Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, etc.

Cross Progression is allowing you to access the content on an EA account with any platform connected to that same account, not bring over progress from a different EA account.

If you had unlinked a platform to try this out and ended up losing progress as a result, you'll want to try re-linking that platform to the original EA account to restore the progress.

( 17m 36s ) Anugrah: I understand that however it was only applicable for the platforms linked before 26th October and as I can see the PSN was linked here on 31st October and that is why it will not get the progress which you have on Steam.

  • you can merge accs in the SAME EA acc doesnt matter if the 26 passed that date was just the deadline FOR PROGRESS to get merged EX. Apex coin, Apex packs, skins, crafting matts, etc

BUT YOU CANT MERGE 2 EA acc into one. so if u have psn in one EA acc and steam in another EA acc then they cant do nothing about it.

    Hey @dpasomnk,

Progress is stored on the EA account level, not individual platforms like Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, etc.

  • Thank you for reaching out and clarifying, I will attempt to relink and get my items back on the older ea account.

  • My account got banned for no reason juts trying to unlink my xbox account from one EA account to add it to my other one which has my steam account on it how do i fix this

  • How will it work in the case which I switched from my level 700+ Xbox account to PlayStation recently? I have an old existing ps account that is connected to the same ea email as my Xbox but never logged into apex until after the 26th on the PlayStation account. I understand I won’t get any of the packs/ skins on this new account since it was made after the 26th, but will my Xbox account data cross progress/ merge so I can play with that on PS5?

  • I'm undergoing the same thing. You are absolutely right they should have informed us rather than just letting us find out. Sad. I have so much progress on a different account and would love to have them merged. Maybe one day they will fix this but we are dealing with Ea here.

  • I got the message then linked my accounts and still haven't received any thing from the other account. Is there a way to fix this?
