Mouse/View Teleporting

Whenever I play Apex, as of the recent Origin update, throughout the game my cursor starts jumping to different parts of the screen, usually somewhere on the bottom, and it also right-clicks when I don't want it to. My game is set to run at normal priority. I can only reset the cursor to move like it normally does by restarting my computer. In each match, it starts off barely happening, and then it starts happening more and more as if the process is accelerating. After a few minutes in game, I can't move and my cursor is practically locked facing the ground, randomly right clicking and moving when I'm not even touching my mouse. It never happens in the Firing Range, and only occurs in actual matches. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Edit: It appears to happen a whole lot quicker in ranked.

I'm wondering if this might be related to an Origin issue we're currently tracking. We've been getting reports that the Origin client is popping up and taking focus from other apps while they're running. I'm thinking that Origin might be taking focus away from Apex Legends while the game is running, which could explain why your mouse is behaving strangely in-game.

When you have a chance can you try this workaround for me?

    1. Close Origin and its services processes (OriginWebHelperService.exe and OriginClientService.exe).
    2. Delete all files in the following 2 folders:
    - "C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Services\License"
    - "C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Electronic Arts\EA Services\License"

    3. Start Origin back up

Let me know if your'e still seeing any mouse issues after that. Thanks!

    /Kent

  • No clue why those files are there if it doesn't matter if they were deleted, but it appears to have worked. Thanks for the help!

That's good to hear! The files in those folders are cached data that the Origin client would automatically replace on its own. Thanks for letting me know that it helped. 🙌
