After the anti-cheat splash screen pops up disappears the r5apex.exe process closes without any errors, it used to be like that, but after the first r5apex.exe process closed a new one would appear, but now the new one simply doesn't appear.
Hello, everyone. Can you please gather a DXDiag report and include it in a response? We're currently investigating this and that will help find a resolution.
Also, here are some other troubleshooting steps to try:
- Repair the EA App
- Reinstall EA Anti-Cheat
- Check for any Windows updates
- Update your video card drivers
- Launch Apex Legends as an administrator
It would also be good to get screenshots of the error message being received along with the exact steps to make it happen.
Thank you!

I also have a GTX 660, it seems this problem only occurs on older video cards, people on Steam also came to this conclusion: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1172470/discussions/0/592885886403817287/?tscn=1736584540
