PC-Black Letterbox style on top and bottom of screen.

I have the same issue, black bars on my 1280x1024 native monitor, makes it horrible to play on :/

I have the same exact problem, I really hope that they fix this issue. This game is good and it could be a lot better for me if I didn't have to play it with black bars.

I play on an old monitor , my native res is 1280x1024 , and I also play the game with this res but in the game there are black bars on top and on bottom , there are none though when i play on 16:9 or 16:10

I believe this is just how the game (despite I believe being on source and no other source game doing this) handles 4:3. I personally like playing on 4:3 with black bars on left and right, but having them on the top and bottom is terrible.

A method to try out:

Navigate to your game file location.

Right click r5apex.exe and open properties.

Then go to compatability tab and apply the settings like so:

What resolution does it play as in apex?

Ive just been trying to show apex in 4:3 ratio but it keeps scaling in a 16:9 ratio.

Ive been messing around with all kinds of settings on my end but it really is stuck.

Ill write up a detailed bug report on the bug report forums and wait.
