Permanent packet loss logo on top right.

I have a permanent packet loss logo on the top right of apex, which is true as I do have a stutter/laggy gameplay.

speed test down through the Xbox shows as very good.

latency 23ms

packet loss 0%

NAT type Open.

personal speed test on WiFi is 55 down and 12 up.

please advise as this seems to be an apex specific issue.

    1: Verify MS/Ping to the server in game or here: https://gameserverping.com/apex
    or post an UOTrace by doing the following; https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/connection-troubleshooting-basic/
    2: What OS / Build do you run?
    3: All drivers updated?
    4: Any 3rd party software running like Anti-virus, discord etc?

    > 4.1 Antivirus - Try to whitlist the game in your antivirus software and see if this helps.

    >> 4.2 Discord - Discord overlay and hardware acceleration since they can cause an issue.

    >>> 4.3 Firewall - Allow connections through the firewall
    5: do you or any other member in the household watch youtube, streams or downloading while playing?
    6: Have you tried to repair the game or clear game cache, Read this to know how: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/
    7: Have you tried using a public DNS to see if this resolve the issue?

    Please can I add, that this seems to happen very consistently after one game. If I close the game and play it will be fine, until the second game where it will lag.

    I missed the xbox part, just woke up when i was typing sorry.

    Please try the following:

    *Clear xbox cache
    Power off your Xbox One by holdiong the power button until it turns off.
    Unplug your power blick, press and hold the power button several times to expel remaining power. Wait for 10 seconds and plug the bick back in.
    waitin for the light on the brick to change from white to orange and turn your xbox on.

    * Clearing MAC adress
    Go to Settings> All settings> Network> Network settings
    In here press on advanced settings and alternate MAC adress option, press on 'clear'
    Restart your xbox
    -----------------------------------------
    * Remove and unplug USB devices
    If you have any devices plugged in to your Xbox, please unplug them.
    Sometimes it may interfer with the game.

    * Re-install the game
    Try to reinstall the game and see if the issue is resolved

    No worries!

    I have already tried to reinstall the game, no fix.

    i have done all the tasks you gave me to try and no fix.

    ive managed to narrow it down to it lagging after one or two games, which is strange. Maybe firewall?

  • @uk_Revi Scratch that, just tried after those tasks and it’s lagging first game even in game testing my connection and it’s perfect
  • I am from Ukraine and I have the same problem with packet loss. As far as I understand, the problem is on the server side EA. How to deal with it?

    I've got the same thing, about 1 in 3 games is non-viable but the rest are perfect.

  • I think I fixed this, it was a discord option that seemed to be lagging me out sometimes. I didn't have to be in any voice channels on discord for this to happen.

    Specifically it was the "quality of service high packet priority" option in discord settings causing this issue. I just played about 10 games in a row without a problem.
